That’s a dragonfly, right? Sure. A couple of people tested my original pattern while I wasn’t able to knit them, and told me in very nice ways that it was some kind of mutant thing and not a dragonfly so much. So last night I redid it from scratch. This one I am happy with, the pattern will be posted later over there where you know, the patterns are posted.

Today’s agenda includes more fleece hats, and starting a crochet afghan that involves changing color in the middle of rows and using a chart. Somebody hold me.

Nothing like fleece to make you feel productive. Even with the family having some kind of contest amongst themselves involving how to drive me crazy the quickest, I managed to get these two hats done this morning.

There. Now I will clean the house or something and just overwhelm myself with all the activity. Whee.

What did you do today? I tried to cut out stockings for the family and spent most of my time trying to locate a stupid paper bag to use for pattern drawing. Nobody gives out paper bags anymore, and that’s just wrong. But I found one, and this year’s holiday stockings should be done fairly quickly, now that I have embraced the lazy person’s fabric: Fleece. How do I love thee, fleece?
Oh, and I did a wee bit of eBay listing. Because getting it together to set up the shopping cart here is still overwhelming me. Now go buy some stuff. Heh.

Wow, what a bad time of year to sprain a wrist. I guess there isn’t really a good time for such a thing, but ’tis the season to be knitting and it sucks not to be doing that.
I did manage to get this teddy bear washcloth done for a little friend of mine, I used Bernat Cotton Tots and it is so soft! The pattern will be added to the site soon.

Being sidelined from knitting does allow me time to work with some of my other crafty things, so I did a little beading and made these pattern row counters. Which I have absolutely no clue how to use, but a friend wanted some, so I made them for her.

Had very much fun shopping at Joann Fabrics yesterday and this morning in the wee hours, picking up some flannel and fleece to play with. Santa is bringing me a new sewing machine this year! This machine and I have been together for a good 17 years now, and I love it, but I’m so ready for one with a few more modern features. Specifically a drop-in bobbin.
My web guru is working behind the scenes to get the Purple Duckie Store up and running. I do believe one of her major hurdles is me not getting the pictures and product list to her. Oops. Watch for stitch markers on ebay starting next week, too.

Sewing, sewing, sewing. It all started with the idea that I needed to make some little hats out of my fleece sling scraps, and now I have quite a list of projects. I’m way too excited about the big fleece sales today at Joann and Hancock, as well. Anyway. My knitting projects look about the same, just bigger. Why do I have so many big ones going at once? Bleh.
These are the little hats I made:

Working with fleece is so easy and such instant gratification, I may be addicted. Too bad we live in an area where it is only cold enough for this stuff a few weeks each year!
Don’t expect a lot of progress in the knitting arena any time soon, my wrist got jacked up yesterday and I don’t know how long it will be before I can stand to knit again. The good news is, it was the left wrist, so last night I charted and wrote up three patterns since there was nothing else I could do. I’ll type them up today and try to find some bored souls to try knitting them.

When is a horse a frog? When you try to make a lovely Loopy Appaloosa and come up with this mutant thing. It has no tail, and I’m not really sure what is going on with that neck. I’ll try this again when I have more powers of concentration.

Mostly I’ve been working on this tote, which is becoming alarmingly huge and nowhere finished. Felted sleeping bag, anyone?

Star blanket is almost done, sweater is about 12 inches now. The only other thing on the needles is my first square for Warm Up America. I’m using the Shadow Triangles pattern and it is really pretty.

Now, I really should be sewing, cleaning, or one of a hundred other things I can think of besides sitting here. So. I’ll go do that.
