Between kid activities and podcast site making and episode editing, I’ve pretty much done nothing worth writing about for the past few days. Or nothing I could even babble about incoherently. Whatever.

Come on, you know you want to join, or at least watch the trainwreck that is me trying to add one more obligation to my day.
Wasn’t home much today, out socializing with the kids and then going off to do some boring, stupid adult stuff. Signing Papers and things like that. I did manage a few googlies while waiting there though.
Here’s my favorite:
I did a couple more, just added them to the flickr set. I left all of them there, now that I’ve got the magic glue dots working and the whole process is much speedier.

I’m officially a Designer on Ravelry. This means, um, I have no clue. Need to get over there and upload all the right links and stuff for the rest of the patterns.
Streamlining Operation Googly Eyes, thanks to a little brainstorming during recording last night. Glue dots! If it weren’t so freaking cold out, I might go try it. Perhaps a little home based googly fun today. We’ll see.
Time is not being my friend, busy with kid activities and stuff all day, trying to catch up again on the editing and publishing podcast stuff. Episode 30 will be out this weekend, no matter what!
Working on new website for the show, not going that well either. Very bleh about some of the easy plug in options available, and not five minutes to sit down and figure out how to do it another way.
No more whingeing! The boys at QCast got Bear Jesus and showed him a fine time as expected. Kind of. Mostly. Silly boys.
I finished the Jack London book, but actually what I got from the library was a collection of his social writings and various things – I just finished this book The Road which was part of it. The next one is an alternate history novel, I think Jack London is going to own me for yet another week.
Podcasts I’ve been enjoying lately, in no particular order:
Ok that’s enough of that. It’s cold out here in my lair, and I need to go inside where the heat is.

New project with an old favorite, googly eyes. A bag of them found their way home the other day, quickly connected with a bottle of glue, and parked themselves in my bag.
Today I had my first opportunity to play this game. Of course, as a first timer, I was a big chicken and started easy, in a place with complete privacy. I saw this little guy…
A few minutes later, he was different. It hardly looks changed. So much so, that I kind of just left the googly eyes there when we were done. He looks happier. Really.
Before we leave this room, we must stop and wash our hands. Something about the motion sensor and the eyes made this work for me. These googly eyes did get removed and everything cleaned up after the shoot.
So that’s one direction the madness is taking me these days.
Now I shall get back to the recording and editing audio stuff for the night.

I found these awesome journals at Michael’s the other day. They “go with” our shows color scheme. Nerdgasm. Picked up 3 of each for myself and my Venus. Which happens to add up to six. Ahh.
My two year old got into the pantry and dumped an entire flour canister on the floor. If you just said “how could you let that happen?” you don’t have kids, and can shut up.
She was giggling her little butt off and having a fabulous time.
Cleaning up the mess nearly killed me, I tell the story of my stupidity on episode 29, coming out this weekend.
We also have been going out of the house and socializing, on our way to a friend’s house I am always fascinated by this particular house, standing empty in the middle of nowhere, with all this abandoned stuff on the porch. Nobody gets why I love this so much, including me.
I had to settle for pictures from the car, since explaining to Mr. Rain how I lost one of the kids in an abandoned house incident would be difficult, to say the least.
Um, still drinking an occasional soda, but nothing like before. There isn’t even any in the house right now. Yay. Kinda.
And! I walked about 3 miles the other day, pushing girly in the stroller while the boys were in their PE class. Next time I will dress for it (totally unprepared) and take one of my little clicker things to count exactly how many laps I manage.
This weekend I am going to watch two movies I have been bitched at about for not seeing. O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Road House. There will be reporting back, believe me.
Just finishing book #2 of the year, The People of the Abyss by Jack London. I love poverty and squalor stories almost as much as post-apocalyptic stuff. I think I might be a little bit disturbed.

After missing one too many appointments, I broke down and got a planner thingy. A cheap paper one of course, because one more gadget I do not need. (I need a phone that has all the gadgets in one. But until then…) I even wrote down places to be and things to do in it. Which did not keep me from showing up at park day almost an hour late today, but punctuality is so overrated.
Then I went out in search of some sweat pants for my boys to wear to their new PE class. A simple enough errand, right? No. Found a few pair in XS and XL – I need S and M! (Hee I said S&M. I’m twelve. Pay no mind.) I realize this is Texas and all, but no sweats already? The bathing suits are out? It’s barely January. WTF.
Spent way too much time making this page of my contact info, even using Nvu, a cool (and free) web designing for idiots software. Here’s hoping I get better with it, and don’t have to break down and learn actual coding. Ew!
Also gave in and got a seesmic account, I haven’t posted anything yet because 1. I need to find my other microphone, the one not attached to giant dorky looking headphones, and 2. I can’t remember my freaking password.
Finished editing the last of our podcast episode backlog, and scheduled it to post tomorrow afternoon. Granted, it was a planned backlog to give ourselves some time for those pesky holidays and fixing some computer issues, but I’m ready to get back on the mic and start bitching away again.

Today I also cooked my first ever venison roast. In about an hour I’ll know if it was a success or not. Ok bye little bloggy window, see you after kids go to bed.
The roast was good. The podcast episode is uploading.
I want a Dr. Pepper so bad right now I think I will just go to bed and try and sleep through it. UGH.

Ok, that was pretty boring. Almost as boring as actually doing it. Still much work to be done in here, but not tonight. I am going to go try and do some sleeping.

Bear Jesus had a little accident in the mail, but he’s in good hands with Venus and should be back on the road in no time.
Back to wielding my powers of ineptitude at the last unedited episode of the podcast, and the new website. I’m scared. What a time to give up Dr. Pepper. Honestly.

According to him they each represent an important element. Later on when his sister rebuilt it, the elements were mixed and it all got very complicated, but this much I remember:
We now return to your regularly scheduled blogging. Wait, around here? Probably not.
