Knowing your limitations

So Boy 1.0 is about to be nine years old. How that happened, I’m not sure, but there it is.

So we had a party for him yesterday, a loud, chaotic, everyone had fun type of party.

He did not want a store bought cake. I told him I am the worst cake decorator ever, I haven’t improved. He doesn’t care, he promises.

Fine. I embraced my ineptitude, grabbed the decorating markers, and made him a Beatles cake.

His younger brother thought I should have tried to do the instruments too. He’s such a sweet boy.
